The MEKBELT SM36 indoor bike now has a practical QZ compatibility confirmation. A private follow-up tied to the public QZ GitHub issue for this bike reported: “It’s working now!” after Roberto asked the rider to test the updated QZ build/production path.
The public issue context is useful because it identifies the MEKBELT SM36 as a rebadge/clone of the YESOUL S3. In that report, the bike had already been verified with Zwift showing speed and cadence, and the remaining QZ work focused on getting the bike data visible correctly through QZ. The private email confirmation is not linked here, but the public technical reference is available in QZ GitHub issue #758.

Setup notes for MEKBELT SM36 owners
- Wake the bike before scanning so its Bluetooth radio is active.
- If there are many nearby Bluetooth devices, manually select the MEKBELT/YESOUL-style bike in QZ instead of relying only on auto-selection.
- Start QZ first, confirm that the bike values appear, and then pair your training app to the data exposed by QZ.
- If you are testing a beta/TestFlight build, keep using the version Roberto recommended until the same fix is available in the public app build.
What QZ adds
QZ acts as an equipment/app bridge for indoor bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, rowers and other fitness machines. On supported bikes such as the MEKBELT SM36 family, QZ can collect available Bluetooth metrics like cadence, speed, power-style values and resistance information where the bike exposes them, then make that data usable in training workflows.
QZ also includes wider fitness integrations and workout workflows, including Strava support, Garmin Connect activity support, iOS HealthKit / Apple Health integration, and Android health-platform support such as Google Health / Health Connect where available on the device and platform.
