The Horizon 7.4 AT treadmill now has a confirmed QZ workflow for Peloton treadmill workouts. In the tested setup, QZ keeps the treadmill connected while Peloton automatically controls both speed and incline, so the workout can follow the instructor’s calls without manual adjustments.

The important detail is choosing the connection path that preserves Peloton control. With the correct QZ settings, the 7.4 AT reports its speed in km/h and remains available for Peloton’s automatic treadmill control.

The QZ settings that matter

  1. Connect the Horizon 7.4 AT to QZ.
  2. Set the QZ speed unit to km/h.
  3. Leave Force Using FTMS disabled. This keeps QZ on the Horizon protocol path used by the confirmed Peloton control workflow.
  4. Leave Speed Offset at 0 unless your own setup requires a different reading adjustment.
  5. Start a Peloton treadmill class and let QZ bridge the treadmill control commands.

What the tested workflow provides

QZ sits between the Horizon treadmill and the training app. It reads the treadmill data, presents the speed in the selected unit, and exposes the treadmill through the connection path needed for Peloton’s automatic workout control. When Peloton changes the requested pace or incline, the Horizon 7.4 AT follows those changes through QZ.

The Horizon 7.4 AT is a good match for this type of setup because it is designed around responsive speed and incline changes, while QZ makes the treadmill usable with a broader app workflow instead of tying it to one training platform.

QZ beyond Peloton

QZ can also bridge compatible equipment to apps such as Zwift, MyWhoosh and ROUVY. Depending on the platform and configuration, it can work with workout exports and integrations including Apple Health / HealthKit, Garmin Connect, Strava and Google Health / Health Connect.

This article documents a confirmed Horizon 7.4 AT + QZ + Peloton setup. Exact behaviour can still depend on the treadmill firmware, phone or tablet and app versions. If something does not work as expected, send an email to Roberto.viola83@gmail.com and Roberto will help you check the setup.
