Volava Spin Bike and QZ: Power, Cadence and Resistance Data Now Available

The Volava spin bike is now supported by QZ. A confirmed setup showed the bike’s pedalling data in QZ without additional configuration, bringing a practical connected-training workflow to Volava owners.

Automatic Volava detection

QZ recognises the Volava bike automatically through its Bluetooth identity. The public QZ implementation detects devices whose name starts with XQ and matches the expected 12-character device format, then routes the connection to the dedicated Volava bike driver.[1] [2]

What QZ reads from the Volava bike

Data or controlQZ support
PowerInstant power is decoded from the Volava workout data frame and shown in QZ.
CadencePedalling cadence is read from the workout frame and updated live.
ResistanceThe resistance level is decoded from the bike data and reported in QZ.
Bluetooth connectionThe dedicated Volava BLE service, notification characteristic and write characteristic are handled by the QZ driver.
Virtual bike outputQZ can expose the connected equipment as a virtual Bluetooth bike for a training app on another device.

Connected training with QZ

QZ bridges fitness equipment and the training apps riders use. After QZ connects to Volava, the rider can use the QZ dashboard for live data and enable the virtual-bike output for compatible apps such as Zwift, MyWhoosh, ROUVY, Kinomap, BKOOL and other Bluetooth/FTMS workflows supported by the selected setup.[3] [4]

Volava and QZ in one line

Volava spin bike → QZ automatic Bluetooth detection → live power, cadence and resistance → virtual bike → training app.
