A complete virtual-rower bridge
QZ receives the RWX-700 rowing data from the iConsole+ path and presents it as a virtual rower. EXR can then use the QZ device on the second screen, giving the rider a clear training view while the iPhone handles the equipment connection.
The most useful QZ choice for this workflow is Virtual Rower as the active rowing output. This keeps the equipment identity simple for the training app and lets the rowing data flow into the EXR workout.
FTMS control sequence for iConsole+
QZ’s merged public PR #5068 adds the standard FTMS control sequence for iConsole+ rowers:
- Request Control (
0x00) - Start / Resume (
0x07)
Use a QZ build that includes this merged iConsole+ improvement, then connect the RWX-700, confirm the live rowing tiles and select Virtual Rower before opening EXR on the second device.
Setup steps
- Install a QZ build containing the merged iConsole+ rower support.
- Turn on the Toorx RWX-700 and open QZ on the iPhone.
- Let QZ connect to the iConsole+ console and confirm the live rowing metrics.
- Select Virtual Rower as the active QZ output.
- Open EXR on the second device.
- Pair EXR with the QZ virtual rower.
- Start the rowing workout and follow the live data on the EXR screen.
