The Cycplus BC2/B2C Bluetooth controller has a useful QZ compatibility path for riders who want physical buttons for virtual gear changes. In public issue #4514, the user was setting up a Hammer Speed Race SR bike workflow and later confirmed that, after enabling the relevant controller option, the gears could be changed from the Cycplus controller.
This is safe to describe as merged QZ functionality, not a pending patch: the implementation landed in PR #4517, which added the Cycplus BC2 controller code, discovery logic, and an Accessories setting in QZ. The issue thread also includes a follow-up that recognition was better after the final patch.

Setup notes
- Pair your bike with QZ first and confirm the normal bike metrics/control path is working.
- Open QZ settings and look under Accessories for the Cycplus BC2 controller option.
- After enabling the controller option, reconnect so QZ can discover the controller and map its shift buttons to gear up/down.
- If you are using a Zwift, MyWhoosh, ROUVY, Peloton, or similar virtual-bike workflow, test shifting in a short ride before relying on it for a structured workout.
QZ bridge overview
QZ can sit between supported fitness equipment, accessories, and training apps, reading equipment metrics and presenting a compatible virtual device where the selected setup supports it. Depending on platform and configuration, QZ workouts can also connect with Apple Health / HealthKit, Garmin Connect, Strava, Google Health / Health Connect and other supported data paths.
