Skandika X-2000 and QZ: A More Flexible Connected Training Bike

The Skandika Foldaway X-2000 is a compact exercise bike with Bluetooth connectivity, 24 adjustable resistance levels, pulse sensors in the handles and a folding design that makes it easy to store at home.[1]

With QZ, the X-2000 can become much more than a bike used with the app supplied by the manufacturer. It can be part of a wider connected-training setup, giving you more freedom to choose how you train, which apps you use and where your workout data goes.

What QZ adds to the Skandika X-2000

QZ creates a bridge between the bike and compatible training apps. It can make the X-2000’s workout data available to a broader range of connected-training workflows, including:

The practical benefit is simple: you can keep the bike you already own while gaining more choice around the software that drives your training experience.

MyWhoosh and FitShow with the X-2000

The Skandika X-2000 has been confirmed in a real user setup with QZ and the MyWhoosh and FitShow apps. The bike connected through QZ, allowing the owner to use those apps instead of being limited to the original Kinomap and Skandika Fitness workflows.

After the QZ configuration was corrected, the owner confirmed that the complete setup worked perfectly. This makes the X-2000 a useful option for riders who want to explore different training environments without replacing their home bike.

You can use the same bike for a virtual ride, a structured workout or a more traditional indoor session while keeping the training data visible in the app that suits you best.

More engaging indoor rides

A small folding bike can still support a much richer training experience when the right software is added around it. QZ can help connect the X-2000 to apps that offer:

MyWhoosh and FitShow are two examples of how the X-2000 can move beyond its original app ecosystem. The exact features available depend on the app, device and QZ configuration, but QZ gives you a flexible starting point instead of forcing every workout into one platform.

ERG-style training and automatic resistance

The X-2000 offers electronically adjustable resistance across 24 levels.[1] QZ can use that resistance range in structured workouts and ERG-style training, where the workout target determines the requested effort and the bike follows the available resistance steps.

This is helpful during intervals. Rather than interrupting the session to change resistance manually every time the target changes, you can let the connected workout guide the progression while you focus on cadence and effort.

QZ also includes an X-2000-specific resistance improvement that keeps filtered ERG targets consistent with the resistance command sent to the bike.[2] In practice, this helps the bike respect the configured training range instead of bypassing the resistance limit during periodic updates.

Keep the comfort of the X-2000

QZ does not change the reasons many people choose the X-2000 in the first place. It remains a compact, foldable exercise bike with a comfortable saddle, pulse sensors, transport wheels and a tablet-friendly home-training format.[1]

The advantage is that the bike can now fit into a more ambitious training routine. You can keep it folded away when it is not being used, then connect it to QZ when you want a more engaging ride or a structured workout.

A wider QZ training ecosystem

The Skandika X-2000 is only one part of what QZ can offer. Depending on your setup, QZ can also provide:

Not every option is available in every app or on every device. The important point is that QZ gives you a single, flexible place to build the training workflow you want around the equipment you already have.

How to get started

  1. Install a current QZ build that includes the Skandika X-2000 support.
  2. Turn on the bike and open QZ on your phone or tablet.
  3. Use the bike wizard or select the Skandika X-2000 profile.
  4. Confirm that the live workout metrics are updating.
  5. Select the output required by MyWhoosh, FitShow or another compatible app.
  6. Connect the training app to QZ and start with a short ride.
  7. Test a few resistance changes before beginning a demanding ERG workout.

If heart-rate data does not appear, review the QZ heart-rate configuration and restart the connection after changing it. The confirmed X-2000 workflow required this configuration step before the complete setup worked correctly.

The key idea

The Skandika X-2000 is a compact and approachable exercise bike, but its Bluetooth connection gives it room to become part of a much broader training setup. QZ can connect it to MyWhoosh, FitShow and other compatible apps, while adding richer workout options, live data and ERG-style resistance control.

You do not need to replace the bike to get more from it. Keep the convenient folding design, choose the apps you enjoy and use QZ to turn the X-2000 into a more flexible connected-training bike.
