The Kettler Racer S is not tied to a single training platform. Connected to QZ through its Kinomap-compatible Bluetooth path, it can become the bridge to the training apps supported by QZ. That means you can choose the ecosystem that fits your workout instead of being locked into the original bike software.

One bike, all your training apps
QZ is the compatibility layer between the Racer S and your preferred training platform. The QZ public FAQ specifically documents Kettler Racer S among Kinomap-BLE bikes and names Zwift, MyWhoosh and ROUVY as apps that can control resistance automatically through QZ. The same bridge can also be used with TrainerRoad and other QZ-supported training workflows.
Depending on the app and device you choose, QZ can also support workout recording and connected services such as Apple Health / HealthKit, Garmin Connect, Strava and Google Health / Health Connect. The Racer S is therefore useful as a flexible indoor-bike platform rather than a bike limited to one proprietary ecosystem.
What the rider tests confirmed
Several independent confirmations reported successful Kettler Racer S sessions with QZ. The tests included 75-minute and 90-minute ERG workouts through TrainerRoad, where target-power changes felt responsive and the bike operated smoothly. A further session confirmed that after the bike was unplugged and powered back on, QZ re-established the bike connection successfully.
These tests show the practical benefit of the QZ bridge: the Racer S can provide the bike connection while the training app manages the workout. If an individual app loses its own Bluetooth bridge, reconnecting that app may be necessary, but this is separate from the bike-to-QZ connection.
Setup
- Install QZ on the phone or tablet that will connect to the Kettler Racer S.
- Wake the bike and let QZ discover it over Bluetooth.
- Open the training app you want to use and connect it to the QZ bridge.
- For ERG workouts, let the training app control target power and keep separate manual gear controls disabled when your QZ build offers that option.
- For automatic resistance, use an app and workout mode supported by the selected QZ workflow.
