QZ has added a new Bluetooth discovery path for the Zycle ZBike 2.0. The public master commit d37479d2 adds ZBIKE2.0 as a recognized Bluetooth-name prefix inside QZ’s standard FTMS bike detection branch.
This article is intentionally precise: the evidence is code-level device detection on public master, not a separate public field-test report. In practice, it means a device advertising a Bluetooth name that starts with ZBIKE2.0 is routed by QZ into the existing FTMS bike path. The exact metrics and control behavior still depend on what the bike exposes through FTMS and on the QZ platform/settings used in your setup.

Setup notes
- Update QZ to a build that includes the public master change for
ZBIKE2.0detection. - Start Bluetooth discovery with the Zycle bike awake and advertising.
- If QZ detects the bike through the FTMS path, first verify basic bike data such as cadence, speed, power, or resistance values that your specific trainer exposes.
- Only then test app bridging workflows such as Zwift, MyWhoosh, ROUVY, Peloton-style virtual bike use, or Garmin/Strava/Health export according to your normal QZ setup.
